Whether it’s a simple chambray shirt, oversized jean jacket or full on “Canadian Suit” – 2016 is here for denim in a major way. It’s versatility, durability and comfort has helped it remain a constant wardrobe staple since it’s creation in 1873 by Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss. Although originally created for the working man, denim has driven our culture throughout the years, as a symbol of indifference in the 50s, free love patch embellished bell-bottoms of the 70s, acid washed 80s, to the designer denim of now. Not ready to throw on that full denim body suit yet? Try a simple denim choker to start. My favorite denim looks always involve pairing this casual fabric with dressier pieces. Try denim overalls with a sleek tank bodysuit and pumps. Try an uber distressed boyfriend jeans with an over the top embellished jacket. Casual chic at it’s finest.
